ANTHRO INTERNATIONAL
We support a diverse, international community of social science researchers who use the power of anthropology, exploration, education, and storytelling to captivate and educate audiences on the wonders of our world.
MAKING THE STRANGE FAMILIAR AND THE FAMILIAR STRANGE

In most of the world, anthropology focuses on sole researching the living cultures outside of that of the researcher, but American anthropology takes a different approach. Utilizing a four field approach combining archaeology, human biology, linguistics, and socio-cultural studies; this holistic approach to social science research not only attempts to understand foreign cultures of the past and present from complex perspectives, but also attempts to understand the everyday absurdities within the researcher's own culture- making the strange familiar and the familiar strange.

Cartology is a form of map-making which takes into account the social and historical contexts of the landscapes depicted in maps- which is why it is more important than ever in an era of AI imaging to use human cartographers with human understanding for the maps we preserve and produce.

In Early Medieval Ireland, one Irish monk make the decision to start collecting and preserving Roman texts and saved countless texts on the history of Ancient Europe. In an age of rising authoritarian regimes, it is more important that ever to preserve academic research for future generations.

For millennia, social scientists recorded and translated history through male perspectives- often misunderstanding the experiences of women throughout history. Feminist anthropology focuses on giving history a balanced study free from gender-based biases.
