Chapter 1: Tier 8 Beings
There are two Tier Eight Beings- or beings who were the first existent forces in the Universe. These were Being and Place. Place would go on to be known as the Void- the soul of the original realm from where demons, angels, and the first gods originated. Being and Place were spouses who together- with the dark matter of the universe created the angels and demons that would populate the void. Being become uncontrollably powerful however- holding powers over life and death; so Place wiped Being's memory and treated her like one of his children, convincing the angels and demons that Being was the angel of death. Thus, later on when the lords of creation built the Mortal Realm, Being- known to the mortals and deities as Death- was one of four characters who departed the Void to enter the mortal realm.
Being
At filtered strength, Being is known as Death- or the Angel of Death. At full strength the character is known as Being. This character controls the forces of time- including the power to instill life or take it away from any character of choice. The character can also siphon life away from one or more characters and give that life force either to themself or to other characters. Thus, Being has the power to create the souls of entire universes and realms in their own right.

Place
Place- also known as The Void- is a character with the power to create matter, but does not have the power to animate them. Thus he may create objects of infinite size, but may not produce life in them. This means that while Place can create planets, solar systems, or even galaxies, he cannot create separate realms- which require souls. Place may also erase matter, allowing him to delete entire galaxies from existence, but cannot delete a character's souls from existence. (Thus allowing a "what would happen if [insert character's name here] were never born?)
Place's available attacks can include simply erasing a target character from existing- which forces their soul to be forever trapped in the Astral Plane of whatever realm they were in at the time of their corporal form disappearing.
Other Tier 8 Characters
Being and Place are the only two Tier 8 characters from their universe- which includes the realms of the gods, the realms of the dead, the Void, the mortal realm, the astral plane, and manufactured realms. Other universes exist however in the overarching Multi-Verse which contains separate universes where other D&D universes exist- each with their own laws of existence which govern them.
